As usual, our committee members have been working hard behind the scenes planning for this year’s event.  Lots of work needs to be done regarding licences, insurances and road closures before the event, and Kerry Pearce has been juggling this, with lambing season as well as the re-opening of her takeaway!  

Our chairman, Ash Waller has been busy designing and ordering car stickers and I am pleased to announce that they are available for purchase from Caffa Mill Takeaway, 4Turnings, The Ship Inn and Fowey Gallery for a suggested £1 donation.  

Ash has also been busy with designers looking at rebranding with a permanent logo that will be used as a Regatta identity for all infrastructure.  This will be alongside one each year, for dated merchandise.  

We are also in the process of re-building our website that will make it easier to book tickets for our events, download the programme, order merchandise, and enter events over the week.  Watch this space for the re-launch!  

As a new committee, we have had lots of new ideas, and I am pleased to announce that the renowned Lee Taylor will be bringing Bingo to the Town Hall at 2pm on Thursday.  

The Best Decorated House competition will be back too, with entry via our new website to make sure we don’t miss anyone while judging.  

We have come to a decision regarding fireworks and will go ahead as usual from Brazen Island on Monday, but Saturday’s fireworks will be replaced with a pyrotechnic and laser display, to music, that will take place at Fowey River Academy.
